Description
950 ml Pure Copper Water Bottle
Copper is an essential trace mineral and is vital to human health. Our bodies cannot synthesize copper which means we have to get it from dietary sources.
Copper water vessels are known for their natural goodness and for providing rejuvenating and purifying properties.
Copper drinking bottles have been made and used in India for hundreds of years. According to Ayurveda, if you drink copper-enriched water in the morning on an empty stomach, it helps all three Doshas (Kapha, Pitta and Vata). This simple morning ritual helps ensure proper functioning of different organs and several metabolic processes in the body.
Copper is known to be Anti-microbial
Bill Keevil, Director of the Environmental Healthcare Unit at the University of Southampton points out that Copper Ions – electrically charged molecules – kill dangerous viruses by destroying their genetic material. Copper ions do this by changing the oxygen molecules in the virus. As a result, the virus cells cannot mutate. “Now thee ions are able to punch holes in the cell’s membrane, enter the cell and destroy their nucleic acid. So they are completely killed. There is no chance of mutation leading to resistance, and there is no coming back”

The Red House Water Systems Copper Water Bottle is handmade in India using a single sheet of 99% pure copper.
Because it is hand made you will not find machine-made perfection. Little things like a squeaking sound when you twist the cap could have been fixed with the use of plastic but that would compromise the integrity of the copper. We refuse to use plastic. Also the thread on the cap has to be snug with the body of the bottle to prevent leakage.
The copper bottle is lacquered on the outside to protect the surface but not on the inside to allow contact with water. The artisans making these products in the manufacturing facility in India, are paid a fair price in a co-operative business model to ensure quality and preserve positive energy.
Copper Toxicity
It is true that “excess” use of anything can be harmful. The key word here is “excess”.
The recommended daily consumption of copper for adults is 2 mg/day. The amount of copper that infuses into the water when you store it for 16 hours is 0.475 mg.
The upper limit of consumption for an adult is 10 mg in a 24 hour period. To achieve this level one would need to consume at least 20 litres of copper infused water within 24 hours. This seems very unlikely.
Care for your Copper Bottle:
